1. What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address that people type in the browser's address bar to go to a specific website. For example, our domain name is atgramsystems.com

2. What can I do with a domain name?

Once you have acquired your domain name it is yours to use for many things.

1. Create a website at your desired location on the Internet. Contact us if you need help in designing or developing your website. We also offer hosting solutions, which you will require to make your website available on the Internet.
2. Create a blog site using our hosting solutions.
3. Personalised email - you will need to buy our hosting solutions. All annual hosting accounts come with a FREE .co.uk domain.

3. How do I purchase or transfer a domain name?

Enter your desired domain name in our Domain Availability Checker and follow the on screen instructions to checkout.

4. How long will my new domain name take to become active?

Domains are registered as soon as you order but can take up to 72 hours to become visible on the Internet. In most cases, however, it does not take too long and is usually less than 24 hours.

5. Who owns the domain?

When registering the domain you have the option to register in your own name. If you choose us to own and manage it on your behalf then we will do so, otherwise it will be in your own name.

6. How long do I own the domain?

At the time of purchase, you will have the option to choose for how long you want to buy your domain. Generally, most domains are purchased for 2 years although it varies depending on whether it is .com or .co.uk, etc. Prior to the end of your domain expiration, you will receive notification with instructions on how to renew your domain.

7. Can I transfer my domain?

Yes, you will have full domain management facilities from your Control Panel.

8. Can I change the domain name for my website?

Yes, you can purchase a new domain name at any time, subject to availability. Use our Domain Availability Checker to purchase your new domains.

9. Can I have several domain names associated with the same website?

Yes, Atgram Systems offers free domain mapping. Please contact us as we have to manually map the domains for you from our administration panel.

10. Why are domains non-refundable?

Unfortunately, the domain registrars’ policy is that domains cannot be refunded to prevent abuse. Due to that reason, we are unable to accept refunds. Please take care when registering your domain ensuring that the correct spelling has been entered.
